This week meet personal trainer, Sara.

Who are you? Sara Hatfield

What do you do? Personal Trainer and Boot-y Camp Instructor

Where do you live? Ocean Ave and Lincoln Rd.

Where did you grow up? Montana

How long have you been  a member? Since the first summer

When you do your pickup where are you coming from? I usually ride my bike from a training session across the park.

Where are you going to? I have a client who comes to my house on Tuesday nights.

What are you never without at pickup? My Evert-Fresh bags. They really do make the produce last longer.

What time is it usually? I trade weeks with Barbara, who shares with me. I tend to get there at 6:15.

Who cooks your veggies/fruits? Usually me. Sometimes they just sit in the fridge and haunt me till I trash their slimy carcasses in shame.

Who eats them? Me

What do you think you use the most? Definitely the greens. I like to saute them and add mixed grains and a couple eggs.

What’s your favorite fruit or veggie score? Barbara shared some strawberries with me a couple weeks ago. They were divine.

What’s the best part of the CSA? The board members and other volunteers who dedicate so much of their time to making things run smoothly. We’d be lost without them.

Is there a fun fact about you that you would like to share? I am a slower runner than all of my Boot-y Campers.

If you were a fruit or veggie what would you be?  Why?  Spinach. Versatile, makes your muscles stronger, sometimes a little dirty.
