Our trip to Woodbridge Farm on Saturday was a blast! We kicked off the afternoon with a delicious pot luck lunch which included lasagne, salad, baked zucchini, hard boiled eggs, salsa, cheese, fruit, banana bread, and lemongrass soda. Yum! Then David and Julia took us on a walking tour of the farm. We got to see our vegetables growing in the fields and greenhouse, and Julia explained their biodynamic farming techniques and organic methods of pest control. We also visited the chickens, turkeys, horses, pigs, cows and bees. Some of us took advantage of the opportunity to buy all natural beef and pork straight from source. David and Julia were wonderful hosts, and it was great to get to know them and their farm. And luckily the rain held off until we were ready to leave!
