Delicious fresh baked bread, for a good cause, delivered right to our CSA. What could be better?

Hot Bread Kitchen will be stopping by our distribution on Sept 25th with some samples. If we like them, we will be able place orders through their website to be delivered the following week and picked up along with our regular veggies. They offer a variety of different styles of bread including foccacia, baguettes, lavash, and multigrain loaves.

Not just another bakery, Hot Bread Kitchen is a program that offers customers artisanal breads in order to employ and fund training for immigrant women in commercial baking and English. The program was conceived and founded by Jessamyn Waldman, a baking apprentice at Restaurant Daniel who holds a masters degree in immigration policy from Columbia. She has made it her mission to help women capitalize on their culinary heritage and turn them into master bakers, positioning them for higher earning jobs or entrepreneurial endeavors.

Big thanks to Kelly for organizing this!
