Love good food from family farms and great music? Then join your friends on Sept. 9th at Farm Aid 2007: A Homegrown Festival!
With inspiring music, an abundance of family farm food vendors, and hands-on, interactive experiences, Farm Aid 2007: A Homegrown Festival will showcase the direct connection between what happens on the farm and the food we eat every day.
On September 9 at Randall’s Island, Farm Aid will celebrate family farmers, good food and the many ways New Yorkers are working together to build a strong and vibrant family farm-centered food system. Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds will be joined by The Allman Brothers Band, Counting Crows, Matisyahu, Guster, The Derek Trucks Band, Warren Haynes, Supersuckers, The Ditty Bops, Montgomery Gentry and others for the day-long festival and concert.
Since 2001 Farm Aid has been supporting Just Food for the work they do to promote local, family farms. By connecting local growers with CSAs, community-run farmers markets, and institutional purchasing relationships, Just Food has helped many farmers to stay on their land, increase their stability and in some cases even expand their operations. We’re grateful for all the help they’ve given us over the years, and hope that you’ll join us at this very special event.
